It's time for yet another opening of Randomer Thoughts, the blog where I write down whatever I want to just because I can (even if it is a class assignment)!
This has definitely been the best summer that I've had in a long time. I spent most of my summer helping Wal-Mart in its transition from its old accounting systems to the SAP enterprise accounting software. Between fifty-five hour work weeks I found time to make slight modifications to my car and picked up handgun shooting as a new hobby. Everyone needs to have a little fun once in a while, right?
More importantly, my relationship with each of my immediate family members has improved significantly. I was able to spend time with both of my brothers. I discovered that my sister loves to go shooting just as much as I do. And I also discovered a new appreciation for my parents.
This summer has also given me a stronger testimony of certain aspects of the Gospel that have, more than once, left me absolutely speechless.
With that said, I'm glad to be back at BYU.
Random story:
I ate plastic yesterday. At least, it certainly felt like plastic. One of my friends at work told me that it was hardened yak cheese. I'm usually ready to try something new, but this experience has me reconsidering that position as far as foods from random animals are concerned. I felt like I was eating a Lego.
